Where do you go when the people who broke you cannot fix you? Who do you turn to when you cannot heal yourself?
In Many Things About Tomorrow, Winnie shares the story of what knowing Jesus and listening to the Holy Spirit has meant in her life. It tells how he took her from deep shame and brought her to a place of restoration and grace.
Born into a dysfunctional family, Winnie was abused emotionally, physically, and sexually. She shares how the Holy Spirit used many methods to guide her, from sweet lessons in compassion and an old black-and-white movie, to powerful words spoken into her spirit, such as "Protect your heart," "You will be okay," and the most powerful one, "Forgive."
This is my survival story, published by Trilogy Publishing and available on Amazon, and I hope it can offer support to those who have gone through similar experiences.
Preface from my book "Many Things About Tomorrow"
I love to tell the story
Of unseen things above
Of Jesus and his glory
Of Jesus and his love
I love to tell the story
Because I know ‘tis true
It satisfies my longings
As nothing else can do
I love to tell the story
T’will be my theme in glory
To tell the old, old story
Of Jesus and his love
–Katherine Hankey, “I Love to Tell the Story”
Years ago, when I worked in memory care, I would often
sing this song to my seniors. One of the men I cared for
approached me with tears in his eyes, pointing to heaven and
said, “I can see what you are singing.”
I so hope that as you read these pages of my life, and how
God saved it, that you can see what my soul is singing. I love
to tell my story about Jesus’s love for us. More importantly, I
hope you see Jesus and know he loves you and that you are a part of his story.
