Grace
Through Brokenness Comes Grace
Brokenness is the loss of belief in your own strength, giving up control, and being totally overwhelmed.
In the world, that can be a place of fear and hopelessness.
In God, it is a place of beautiful incarnation.
God does not allow us to break to make “us” strong; He breaks us to break us.
We are made weak so that” He” is made strong in us. Christ was broken for us, and we need to let Him break us. The time of brokenness is to be crushed with Christ; the Rose of Sharon. It is a time to mix with Him, a time of anointing; a time of altering, conforming to Christ. True brokenness produces grace outward.
Grace outward is the fragrance and an anointing we wear, an elegance or beauty of form, manner, motion, or action. It is a pleasing quality or endowment. Grace shows favor and goodwill. It looks like Jesus and smells like a rose. It is not something we do…It is who we become.
I have known people in their most broken place. This is a place of sorrow, heartbreak, and loss. It is a place of forgiving others. I have seen them in that place, and watched as they cared for and showed concern for others. In that place, an unknown beauty lay, a fragrance, and an anointing. It was another depth of love that I will treasure forever. This is Grace.
You see in standing broken; we meet grace, and know that God is good, God is mighty, God is great and God loves us. He has a good plan for us and we must trust Him. We are forever altered.
